Intradco Global surpassed its own record by transporting a staggering 401,040 eggs, in 1,114 boxes, each containing 360 hatching eggs. The eggs travelled in an A300F aircraft and were loaded onto 12 main deck PMC pallets.
“Transporting hatching eggs is a logistically challenging and delicate operation, requiring expert experience and knowledge,” explains Dane Riecker, senior commercial manager at Intradco Global.
It is precisely this experience and knowledge that has enabled Intradco Global to transport many millions of hatching eggs across the world to date, and earlier this month they transported 30 tonnes from Edinburgh Airport (EDI) to Istanbul Ataturk Airport (ISL).
During transport hatching eggs must be handled with the utmost care from the moment of collection to the moment they arrive at their destination. Intradco Global is a major player in animal transport, including hatching eggs, taking care of the project from start to finish to ensure it is dealt with to the highest standards and in a cost-effective way.
