ATC Aviation has formed a global Covid-19 vaccine task force, which is being headed by Volker Dunkake and Thomas Baumert.

ATC Aviation has been busy preparing the the delivery of the Covid-19 vaccine and are now ready for the task. They have formed the ATC Aviation global Covid-19 Vaccine Task Force Team to come up with the best solutions. The team is being headed by Volker Dunkake and Thomas Baumert. While Dunkake was formerly part of the management of LH Cargo Charter, he is now the company's expert for charter solutions. On the other hand, Baumert, who was previously in the AF/KLM’s Pharma team Central Europe is now the leading pharma expert in ATC.

Both, Dunkake and Baumert are based in the Frankfurt Head Office of ATC Aviation Service and have been busy preparing solutions for the global vaccine distribution. All relevant stakeholders such as shippers, agents, ground handlers, airlines, container providers and trucking companies have been identified and contacted.

The taskforce is coordinating the worldwide pharma activities in the ATC global organisation. On regional levels, the country managers and their pharma experts on site are responsible for the local contacts and the implementation of the respective solutions It is expected that the main origins for production will be in Europe, India, Brazil, Korea, China and the USA. Together with their airline partners, the GSSA controls 300, 000 tonnes of annual capacity and serves more than 500 destinations globally. Furthermore ATC outlines any solution using charter capacities on freighters and preighters.

Ingo Zimmer, group CEO ATC Aviation Services stated, “We are well aware about the importance of our role in the supply chain of the vaccines and we are ready!”
