FMG and AeroGround awarded consulting contract by Etihad Airways

MAY 21, 2015: AeroGround Flughafen München GmbH has announced the signing of a major consulting contract with Etihad, the flag carrier of the United Arab Emirates. In cooperation with FMG’s International Business unit, AeroGround submitted a successful bid to provide advisory services to the airline.

AeroGround experts will begin immediately to provide Etihad with support in all aspects of ground handling. “For an airline customer to award us a consulting contract totaling about 400 man-days is a very satisfactory demonstration of their satisfaction with the quality of our services and our conceptual expertise,” said Herbert Keffel, the head of Aeroground’s international business activities.

The project will involve a three-stage restructuring of Etihad Airways’ ground handling activities, including an organizational and operational redesign of the aircraft handling and baggage services as well as the planning and implementation of a training concept. For the anticipated seven-month duration of the project, four to five AeroGround employees will support the various phases both onsite in Abu Dhabi and from Munich. “We’re proud to have been selected for such a substantial and important project.
