Indian pharmaceutical industry growth is on an upswing owing to the increasing number of pharma exports to developed economies and regulated markets of the US and Western Europe. To fuel this development further, STAT Times is organizing GACAG-Pharma Shippers Forum, an initiative that will provide a platform to all stakeholders from the pharma export industry in India to express their views and put forward possible solutions of interest for the participants.

The forum will involve interaction between Global Air Cargo Advisory Group (GACAG) headed by IATA Global Head of Cargo, Desmond Vertannes and the pharma shippers. The forum will take place during AIR CARGO INDIA 2012 conference on February 2 at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, and will have leading drugs and pharma shippers serving as panelists. The forum has been conceptualized to open newer opportunities for logistics service providers such as airports, airlines, temperature controlled specialists and others. Over 200 pharma shippers across the country have been invited to the forum.

The session aims to build a stronger relationship between the shippers and logistics service providers. Mr. Prasanna Pradhan, Secretary, Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India has been invited to inaugurate the session. About GACAG The four main pillars of the air cargo industry, the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA), the International Air Transport Association (IATA), The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) and the Global Shippers’ Forum (GSF) now come under one roof thanks to the formation of the new Global Air Cargo Advisory Group (GACAG).
