July 27, 2018: San Bernardino International Airport Authority and FedEx Express have agreed to begin regularly-scheduled air cargo flights into SBD International Airport.
FedEx Express will occupy a 57,000-square-foot facility under a new 10-year agreement. Daily flight operations will begin in October this year.
Carey Davis, Mayor of the City of San Bernardino, and president of the San Bernardino International Airport Authority, adds, “Our strategic investment in the airport and surrounding business center continues to strengthen our community by bringing jobs and commerce to the region.
“We are very excited to have FedEx expand flight operations into SBD International Airport. The Airport continues to serve as a major contributor to the economic growth in San Bernardino.”
Located 60 miles east of Los Angeles along the I-10 corridor, SBD is ideally located to support the logistics industry. With growing activity and convenient access to three major interstate highways (I-10, I-210 and I-215), air cargo operators like FedEx Express will be able to expedite deliveries to end users and consumers.
