January 10, 2018: EVA Air has recently appointed Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) as its handling agent.

According to reports, Hactl will provide all cargo handling services for the EVA Air' operations from Hong Kong, which include over 60 passenger and eight wide-body freighter flights every week.

The airline also plans to use the SuperLink China Direct road feeder services provided by Hactl subsidiary Hacis, to extend its catchment to include the Pearl River Delta (PRD) region.

The Hacis network will soon be extended with the opening of a ninth depot in the western PRD, in conjunction with the opening of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao bridge, which will help considerably reduce trans-PRD transit time.

Peter Chang, general manager, Hong Kong of EVA Air said: "It's a pleasure to return to Hactl, extending our long-term and highly-successful previous collaboration. We particularly look forward to using the Hacis road feeder services system to maximise our capacity utilisation."

Mark Whitehead, chief executive of Hactl said: "We are privileged to welcome back our friends from EVA Air. Hactl's recent investments in its IT systems and our future plans to enhance our systems will ensure EVA Air enjoys an even better customer experience in the future."
