Rotterdam,January 7, 2015 (STAT):Eimskip has strengthened its position in worldwide reefer logistics services with an acquisition of the forwarding company Jac. Meisner Internationaal Expeditiebedrijf, located in the port of Rotterdam.
Jac. Meisner employs 12 persons with Dick Weijgertze as the Managing Director and Eimskip is pleased that he will stay on board the company as the Managing Director.The company’s main expertise is custom brokerage, veterinary and agricultural inspection and receiving and checking of frozen and chilled cargo with origin all over the world for import into European countries. The company’s annual turnover amounts to approximately EUR 7.5 million and with expected synergy with Eimskip the estimated EBITDA margin of the company will be 8-9%.
The transaction is a part of Eimskip’s strategy of external growth and will further strengthen the company’s worldwide reefer logistics services.
