March 12, 2019: Don Colleran, currently executive vice president and chief sales officer of FedEx Corp, will head FedEx Express as the new president and chief executive officer, effective March 16.

This appointment comes after the recent announcement of Raj Subramaniam, FedEx Express president and CEO, being appointed as the new president and chief operating officer (COO) of FedEx Corporation starting March 1.

Don Colleran has worked with FedEx for almost 30 years. He was appointed executive vice president of global sales in 2006.

In 2000, Colleran was promoted to president of FedEx Express Canada prior to moving back to the US in 2003 to serve as senior vice president of international sales.

He began his FedEx career as an international sales manager in Philadelphia before moving to Asia Pacific to lead the region's sales group.

Colleran earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of New Hampshire.

He serves on the University of Tennessee Health Science Center Advisory Board, the US-ASEAN Business Council, and as a director of ABM Industries and EastGroup Properties.

The Memphis-based company informs through a statement: "Jill Brannon, a more than 30-year FedEx veteran, will succeed Colleran as executive vice president, chief sales officer of FedEx Corp."
