Mumbai, December 3, 2014 (STAT):-DHL Global Forwarding, the air and ocean freight specialist within Deutsche Post DHL, reached a milestone by winning the ‘Best Logistics Service Provider of the year – Air Freight’ at the recently held Express, Logistics & Supply Chain (ELSC) conclave on September 24, 2014.

This award was won amidst stiff competition from leading logistics companies in India and is recognition of DHL’s seamless efforts in delivering consistent and timely services in the air freight business on an uninterrupted basis.

“We are delighted to be conferred this prestigious award for the seventh time,” said Samar Nath, Chief Executive Officer, DHL Global Forwarding India. “Air freight logistics has become an important factor in supply chain management to keep pace with the changing world market. The 8th edition of ELSC was held at the Taj Lands End, Mumbai with the theme ‘Adapting Supply Chain to Suit a New Paradigm’. The event witnessed more than 175 speakers from across industries who contributed through their experience in the main ELSC event as well as in the parallel industry sessions.

The Award was received by Nilanjana Chakrabarti, Manager-Airfreight Commercial Centre and Surendra Singh Panwar, Manager-Airfreight Capacity Management on behalf of DHL Global Forwarding.
