Pittsburg, January 12, 2015 (STAT):-Delta will begin offering nonstop service to Paris five times weekly starting May 10, 2015, and expanded daily service during peak summer travel months June 15 through September 6. The flight will return to five times per week September 7 through October 24.
“This flight has proven to be an economic driver for our region. When your travel takes you abroad, nonstop Pittsburgh to Paris is ideal. After multiple years of success on the nonstop Paris route, Delta has worked closely with the Airport Authority and has made exciting upgrades for ongoing international access, convenience and comfort,” said David Minnotte, Chairman, Allegheny County Airport Authority.
Following a request in 2013, the Mexican government has also approved rights for Delta to fly nonstop from Pittsburgh to Cancun in summer 2015.
“Delta is celebrating the seventh consecutive year of Pittsburgh-Paris service in large part due to the commitment and support of the Pittsburgh community. We are proud of the ongoing partnership that has enabled us to successfully bridge travel between the Steel City and the City of Light and beyond.” said Jeff Lobl, Delta’s Managing Director – Trans-Atlantic Network Planning.
