March 29, 2018: Taking its ‘One-Roof’ warehousing initiative further, Delta Cargo and the cargo division of its joint venture partner, Air France- KLM, recently co-located its cargo warehouse facilities in Seattle.

According to Delta Cargo, the move will allow more space for cargo capacity, and make shipping easier and more convenient for its shared customers.

Since March 26, 2017, Delta Cargo’s Seattle warehouse has hosted Virgin Atlantic. Last year, this ‘One-Roof’ partnership handled over 1.2 million pounds of cargo, with a daily 787 flight. This initiative proved beneficial in increasing the cargo tonnage capacity, besides deliver a coordinated cargo operation among Delta’s partners, and generate employment opportunities at the station.

Other stations to which Delta has expanded the ‘One-Roof’ warehousing initiative, includes Atlanta (with Air France-KLM and Virgin Atlantic); Boston (with Air France, Virgin Atlantic and Alitalia); Salt Lake City, Minneapolis and Detroit (seasonally with KLM); and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, Washington-Dulles, Miami and Orlando (with Virgin Atlantic).

It expects to transport over 400,000 pounds of highly-valuable cargo on Delta, and the newly launched Air France flights, between Seattle and Paris.
