Delta adds seasonal Honolulu service from Minneapolis-St. Paul hub

Minneapolis, Dec. 3, 2014 Delta Air Lines will launch daily seasonal service from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport to Honolulu International Airport next fall. The flight will give passengers direct access to the popular vacation destination while providing more options for connecting Midwestern customers through one of Delta’s largest hubs.

“Delta looks forward to offering the Minneapolis-St. Paulcommunity nonstop service to one of the most popular vacation destinations we serve,” said Glen Hauenstein, Delta’s executive vice president and chief revenue officer. “And customers traveling this route will enjoy the investments we’ve made to upgrade our onboard service, seats and complimentary in-seat entertainment.”

The flight will operate beginning Oct. 25, 2015 through March 26, 2016 using a 225-seat Boeing 767-300ER aircraft with 25 full flat-bed seats in BusinessElite, 29 seats in Economy Comfort and 171 Economy class seats. Delta is the only U.S. global carrier to offer full flat-bed seats with direct aisle access in BusinessElite on widebody oceanic flights.

Delta has recently invested more than $25 million to update restaurants featuring world-class cuisine, gate-house dining and iPads for customer use and ordering in concourse G. Delta has also made renovations to its Delta Sky Club on concourse F and offers Sky Priority services and gate area power recharging stations.
