Mar 11, 2020: DAMCO has refined its product portfolio with three services now branded as Air/Ocean Standard, Plus, and Customised as part of its ongoing focus to deliver value-effective, tailored freight forwarding solutions.

All products offer full track and trace functions and online booking, with the customised services including tailored benefits such as customised reports, an order management system, giving visibility from purchase order to proof of delivery on a dashboard, and third-party updates.

“We have simplified and refined our offering after listening to our customers’ feedback, to ensure that we support their growth with value-effective services, which meet their exact needs,” said Saskia Groen-in’t-Woud, chief executive officer, DAMCO.

DAMCO’s Plus service offers a dedicated customer portal with a secure working environment where users have various access levels and role-specific to-do lists.

“Through digitalisation, we are empowering our customers and staff to be able to make improved business decisions based on honest, real time information and ensure they can effectively manage risks by rapidly responding and reacting to disruptions and changing market situations,” said Martin Ring, DAMCO’s chief operating officer.

“Our experienced customer services team will continue to be the backbone of our offering.”

The new products are underpinned by DAMCO’s Business Resilience Programme, which identifies, assesses, categorises, and records every risk to ensure that product continues on its journey along the entire supply chain.

“Our business is iterative and we follow our customers’ evolution, bringing years of freight forwarding experience and close supplier relationships together,” said Groen-in’t-Woud.

The programme is part of the freight forwarder’s ongoing growth and development strategy, which will this month see DAMCO open a new UK Air Freight Facility at Heathrow.
