China Cargo Airlines starts cargo flights between Shanghai-Pudong and Frankfurt

March 21, 2018: A subsidiary of China Eastern, China Cargo Airlines is the latest cargo airline to recently start its operations at the Frankfurt Airport, where it’s expected to launch twice-a-week service between Shanghai-Pudong and Frankfurt.

China Cargo Airlines expects to increase its flight frequency to Frankfurt after obtaining additional traffic rights.

Anke Giesen, executive director operations, Fraport AG: “We are pleased to welcome China Cargo Airlines in Frankfurt. The airline will not only strengthen FRA as a cargo hub, but will also improve our position in the Chinese market.”

Established in 1998, China Cargo Airlines, is as a joint venture between China Eastern Airlines and China Ocean Shipping, which currently serves 19 destinations in 13 countries, with a fleet strength of three Boeing 747-400-F and six Boeing 777-F aircraft.
