SEP 19, 2015: CHEP Aerospace Solutions has achieved certification from both the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for the maintenance and repair of aviation equipment, under Part 145.

Said CHEP, “The dual certification enables airlines to save on fuel costs and reduce their carbon footprint by repairing their containers, pallets and galley carts at the point of damage whilst complying with the airworthiness approval requirements of their aviation authorities.”

The ULD outsourcing specialist’s certified global repair network also ensures that its 30+ ULD management customers have fast access to containers and pallets, which have been repaired according to the highest quality standards worldwide.

To meet demand in the Middle East, CHEP will open an additional MRO facility in Dubai DWC, in addition to its existing repair station in Doha (DOH), to repair ULDs and galley carts in compliance with the regulations of the local aviation authority (GCAA).

The following stations in the CHEP network are now approved to issue certificates of release to service, both under FAA and EASA: DFW, EWR, IAD, IAH, JFK, LAX, ORD, SEA and SFO in the US, and AMS, BRU, CPH, EMA, LGW, LHR and MAN in Europe, with further stations to be added in the near future.
