As part of the preparation for the increasing flow of pharma shipments, Çelebi Aviation has opened brand-new cold storage facilities at the Frankfurt Airport (FRA). Çelebi Aviation's managing director Christopher Licht welcomed Max Conrady, senior vice president Cargo at Fraport AG for an opening ceremony, keeping in mind all the Covid-19 measures.

Even during these unpredictable times, Çelebi Aviation has been investing into further growth, especially in preparation for the urgently required pharmaceuticals in 2021. With the addition of three individual temperature regulated cool chambers, the company has increased their total capacity by more than 1400 cubic metre.

All the facilities are equipped with a rack system, allowing us to store cargo up to three levels high. Furthermore the three chambers provide state-of-the-art temperature control sensors, as well as an advanced alarm system that allows 24/7 real time tracking for their customers via a mobile app.

In addition to this crucial investment, Çelebi Cargo GmbH has signed the consultancy agreement with IATA in 2020, in order to achieve the next milestone and become a fully CEIV certified company in 2021. As a member of the Air Cargo Community Frankfurt, Çelebi Cargo GmbH contributes to the development of Frankfurt Rhein/Main into one of the leading cargo/pharma airports in Europe, by a significant increase of the current cold storage facilities.

At Çelebi Frankfurt Cargo, they have managed to keep their motivation and determination high even passing through these difficult days and focusing on their planned growth. With the brand-new cold storage facilities, they will provide all common temperature ranges, especially for pharmaceutical goods as per their customer’s expectations and requirements in 2021 and beyond.
