Mumbai,December 3, 2014 (STAT):-Cathay Pacific Airways completed two years of operations between Hyderabad and Hong Kong.

In February 2013, Cathay Pacific introduced its new inflight products on the Hyderabad-Hong Kong route. The Airbus A330-300 aircraft was equipped with Cathay Pacific’s award-winning long-haul Business Class seats together with new Premium Economy and Economy Class seats. Passengers were also able to enjoy on-demand inflight entertainment in all classes.

Charlie Stewart-Cox, General Manager, South Asia, Middle East & Africa, says, “Our flights from Hyderabad have been able to offer travellers from Andhra Pradesh & Telangana greater choice and more convenience when connecting to Cathay Pacific’s international network through its Hong Kong hub. It has helped promote ties between India and Hong Kong and to strengthen Hong Kong’s position as a leading aviation hub.”

The airline together with sister airline Dragonair, currently operates 47 weekly departures to Hong Kong, from 6 cities in India. Cathay Pacific operates 10 direct flights a week from Mumbai, 14 direct flights from Delhi, daily flights from Chennai and a 4 times weekly departure from Hyderabad to Hong Kong. Sister airline Dragonair operates daily flights from Bengaluru and 5 times weekly flights from Kolkata to Hong Kong.
