Bollore Logistics to manage Warehouse for A&P Foods

Apr 10, 2017: Bollore Logistics Nigeria initiated its Warehousing Management Solutions to A&P Foods Nigeria Limited in Sep 2016 which is a subsidiary and the African headquarters of the biscuit manufacturing giant Pladis Global.

Pladis products reach approximately 4 billion people worldwide, with operations in over 120 countries. With 34 factories in 13 countries, Pladis productions concern the following categories: sweet and savory biscuits, wafer, cake, chocolate, gum and candies.

Services required by A&P Foods include daily reception of finished goods, storage, warehouse management, order preparation, stock management and reconditioning. To this end, a 6,000 square meters warehouse was set up in Ikeja, Lagos to store biscuits and confectioneries. This warehouse is being managed by 90 dedicated operators who ensure seamless daily operations.

Since operations started, there has been a remarkable increase in daily outflows from 80,000 cases to more than 100,000 cases. As per A&P Foods business development plans, additional improvements are being planned to install some racks to further optimise other available spaces, as well as the possibility of opening regional distribution centres in the Northern, Eastern and Southern parts of the country.

So far, through Bollore Logistics Nigeria's integrated Supply Chain Management solution, cutting-edge technology and comprehensive distribution network, A&P Foods has recorded a reliable delivery and an increase in its productivity, ultimately increasing their visibility in the Biscuit and confectionery industry.

Additionally to the warehousing activities, Bollore Logistics is also handling United Biscuits A&P Foods' exports of finished products to Ghana and Gabon since June 2016. This progressive business relationship further demonstrates the expansion of the biscuit manufacturer in this region.
