Aug 29, 2019: Societe des mines de Sanbrado (Somisa), a subsidiary of West African Resources, called upon Bollore Transport & Logistics, to transport mining equipment from Ghana to Burkina Faso.

The company’s teams in Ghana and Burkina Faso, combined their expertise for the transportation and delivery on site of equipment.

The cargo, that included 13 packages weighing more than 126 tonnes, was transported utilizing five trucks. The trucks left Ghana on July 25, 2019 and arrived at the SOMISA site in Burkina Faso on August 2, 2019.

A statement from the company tells us that the largest items measured 7.8 metres in length, 6 metres in width, and 4.22 metres high.

Mentioning about being praised for completing this transport operation, the company said: “The professionalism of the Bollore Transport & Logistics Burkina Faso Mining Department was praised by Somisa, who reported being satisfied with the operation, particularly with the personalised follow-up provided.”

According to the company, synergies between all stakeholders made it possible to anticipate the reception of trucks and unloading on arrival at the Somisa mine.
