Inorder to maintain a temperature requirement of -20°C with dry ice, Bolloré Logistics worked in partnership with an international carrier to ship the RAPt2 Envirotainer unit loaded with cargo and dry ice from London to India.
The pre-cooled unit was handed over to airline to ship under constant climatic conditions. Due to last-minute changes in aircraft, dry ice permissible limit was reduced to 250 kg because of which the container was offloaded and had to be kept on hold until dry ice dissipates from 450 kg to 250 kg. Later, due to technical glitch the unit also had to be replaced.
The complete process of arranging a new unit, offloading, transfer of cargo, and freight was managed under strict temperature regulations and high compliance standards.
The new RAPt2 unit was loaded on the next immediate direct flight to Mumbai. Post arrival, to maintain cold chain, dry ice was refilled before arranging delivery to final consignee.
