Bolloré Logistics chartered an Iliouchine II-76 carrying critical medical supplies to Guyana for the first time. Departing from Paris-Vatry on June 6, the cargo flight was received by Bolloré Logistics Guyana teams on June 7 in Cayenne.
The charter carried more than 150 cubic metre of goods including sanitary equipment, hundreds of thousands of masks, hydro-alcoholic gel and gloves for pharmacies and economic and local actors. Among the batches sent, masks ordered by ArianeGroup for their own operational needs but also some of them that the Group gave to the prefecture in support of the territory. Also loaded on board, were products from several other industries such as automotive, textiles, telecoms or high tech.
This operation was successfully completed due to the synergies of the Bolloré Logistics teams, about fifteen people mobilized from start to finish - in Toulouse, for the chartering of the aircraft, the loading plan and the handling; in Roissy, for the entire export process; securing cargo, export customs and removal; and finally, in Guyana where the teams processed the whole import process; reception, dispatch, storage, customs import until delivery.
Since the beginning of the crisis, Bolloré Logistics, a global leader in supply chain management, has played an active role in continuing to serve its customers and reducing supply chain impacts.
