December 7, 2017: In an attempt to support supply chain professionals to obtain faster and powerful insights of their processes, Siemens subsidiary AXIT has recently added two new cutting-edge analytical tools in its AX4 logistics platform.

According to reports, the two tools— AX4 Cockpit and Analytics by Tableau allows data to be easily analysed and visualised based on the defined criteria. It also offers option to enhance and accelerate the analysis of logistical processes.

“These new tools let logistics professionals navigate the deluge of electronic data to find exactly what they need—for both operational and strategic planning,” said Christian Wendt, head of marketing at AXIT while explaining its salient features.

The AX4 Cockpit offers a real-time overview right in AX4 pertaining to data and metrics in a format, which can be customised as per needs and preferences. It also offers up-to-date picture of the supply chain performance.

The partnership with leading data visualisation provider Tableau brings a comprehensive data analytics portfolio to AXIT customers.

Analytics by Tableau offers various criteria to drill down in the data, compile statistics, and present insights in any number of formats, such as diagrams, cluster analyses and geographic maps.

Analytics by Tableau also offers facility to integrate local files or external systems to study the supply chain processes.

“Data visualization opens up entirely new opportunities for analysis and interpretation,” said Wendt.

“It reveals logical interrelationships previously hidden in tables, helping you make important decisions and better manage your logistical processes,” he said.
