ATSG to lease two Boeing 767-300 freighters to Air Incheon
November 30, 2017: Ireland-based leading aircraft leasing company ATSG West Leasing Limited has agreed to lease two Boeing 767-300 converted freighters to the South Korean cargo airline Air Incheon on a multi-year term.
ATGS recently signed a multi-year agreement with Air Incheon to lease two Boeing 767-300 converted freighters by 2018, along with delivery of three dry-leased 767-300 freighters by November this year.
Rich Corrado, CEO of ATSG said: “We have a strong business relation with Air Incheon, which amply validates with the signing of a long-term agreement to lease Boeing 767 freighter. With Air Incheon’s growing Boeing 737 freighter fleet strength, Boeing 767-300 will help boost its service and meet the requirement of its ever expanding customer base spread across Asia and other developing markets.”
According to the agreement, ATSG will lease one converted Boeing 767-300 freighter to Air Incheon on a multi-year term, effective March 31, 2018. The second Boeing 767-300 would be delivered to Air Incheon by the end of 2018.
Currently, Air Incheon operates two Boeing 737-300 freighters from the Seoul Incheon International Airport. The third Boeing 767-300 is undergoing passenger-to-freighter makeover at the airborne maintenance and engineering services of ATSG.
“By adding the Boeing 767-300 freighter into our fleet, we can now offer our customers several options, including reliable and economical air lift. We are confident to having a lasting business partnership with ATSG,” says YK Park, Founder and President of Air Incheon.
In November, ATSG had delivered three converted Boeing 737-300 freighters to Cargojet, Northern Aviation Services and Amerijet under the multi-year dry-lease agreement.
Meanwhile, out of eight Boeing 737-300 freighters, ATSG holds lease commitment for six, which is expected to be delivered by end of September 2018.
