ATC Aviation bags Sichuan Airlines' GSA contract in Europe

Nov 26, 2019: Sichuan Airlines has appointed ATC Aviation as its general sales agent (GSA) in Europe.

Sichuan Airlines has also started a freighter service between Chengdu-Delhi from November 27. It will operate the twice weekly flight on a A330. The airline also launched a direct flight from Brussels (BRU) to Xi'an (XIY) by November 26, operating an A330 freighter.

“We are honoured to represent Sichuan Airlines in Europe. Our professional and experienced team will work continously to position Europe as an important point of sales for the airline’s international network,” said Ingo Zimmer, CEO, ATC Aviation.

Sichuan Airlines operates the largest all-Airbus fleet of more than 150 aircraft in China, serving more than 300 domestic and international routes covering Asia, Europe, North America and Africa. It is headquartered in Chengdu.

Edward Zhou, department manager of freighter sales department of Sichuan Airlines Logistics Co. Ltd, said, “Brussels is an important European Gateway and we will operate two direct flights weekly from BRU-XIY. From Xi'an, connections by air and trucks is offered to the main destinations in China. Additional international freighter services are operated by Sichuan Airlines to Japan and India. By working together with ATC we rely on an experienced international network which will support us to increase sales within this major markets.
