Antonov Airlines ropes in Flywell Aviation GSA for India as part of ongoing growth strategy

July 17, 2017: Antonov Airlines has appointed Flywell Aviation as its General Sales Agent (GSA) in India, as part of its ongoing global growth programme.

New Delhi-headquartered Flywell Aviation has offices in Mumbai and Bangalore, and provides services to the defence, aerospace, oil and gas, rail and construction, as well as other sectors.

Four senior members of staff, with a combined logistics industry experience of 55 years, will support ANTONOV Airlines’ activities across Flywell Aviation’s Indian offices.

“India is a very significant market for the AN-124-100s, and holds good potential for AN-225 and AN-22 flights across a number of sectors,” said Michael Goodisman, Business Development Director, Antonov Airlines.

“Flywell Aviation has been active in the Indian air charter market for many years, and has a good track record of arranging project cargo flights. Flywell’s long experience within the Indian market, coupled with our unique offering for the transport of outsized cargo, will ensure highly professional and dynamic services to this important region.”

Antonov Airlines is the only airline to offer a payload of 150 tonnes with its newly modernised AN-124-100M-150 type, and operates the largest aircraft in the world, the unique AN-225, with a payload of 250 tonnes.
