February 1, 2018: American Airlines Cargo ('American') will soon implement iCargo, a Next-Gen web-based fully integrated cargo management system of IBS Software.

American recently handpicked IBS Software, a leading IT solutions provider in the global aviation industry, to implement its state-of-the-art cargo management system, iCargo.

According to American, it will soon migrate to a web-based, fully integrated technology platform connecting all its critical business functions.

American and IBS are currently in the process of designing a multi-year, phased implementation and rollout strategy, which will ensure the new technology and processes are brought into the business in a seamless manner.

The carrier has also adopted an iterative approach to implement the tool, which will streamline day-to-day business functions during the transition, and minimise impact on its partners and customers. The new technology will offer American the agility to stay at the forefront of the industry.

“We will continue to push all boundaries to deliver an industry-leading experience,” said Rick Elieson, president of American Airlines Cargo.

“We are focused on modernising the processes for our team, and increase transparency and flexibility for our customers. The rapidly changing cargo landscape has made us invest in the best tool, which will help our team deliver an exceptional customer experience.”

“Over the years, iCargo has emerged as the most definitive cargo management solution in the air transportation industry,” said VK Mathews, executive chairman of IBS Group.

“iCargo has a global footprint, and having American into our growing list of customers is indeed a strategic milestone for IBS. I am sure this engagement will herald the beginning of a long and productive business relationship.”
