November 8, 2017: World’s largest carrier American Airlines recently commenced its nonstop daily air cargo service between Los Angeles and Beijing. It’s the first US airlines to offer services between Asia and the Americas.

“We were eagerly looking forward start our services on this new route, which complements our existing Beijing services from Dallas/Fort Worth and Chicago to China,” said Rick Elieson, president of American Airlines Cargo.

“I am confident that freight forwarders and shippers in China will welcome the opportunity to send their goods on American's service to the US, as we are offering them prospects to open up new markets with our vast Latin America network where there is a plethora of opportunities for Chinese exports,” he said.

According to sources, American is expected to offer robust business opportunities for Chinese shippers that include electronics, medical & pharmaceutical products, perishables and e-commerce goods. While outbound from China comprise automobile parts for the new generation hybrid cars, liquid crystal displays, and spare parts along with TV and PC parts are expected to be main goods.

Meanwhile, it’s the sixth addition to American’s daily offering to China, which consist of nonstop service to Beijing and Shanghai from three key US hubs—Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth and Los Angeles.
