OCT 23, 2014: Continuing a streak of strong performances all year long, AirBridgeCargo (ABC) reported a 28 percent rise, year-over-year, in tonnage carried in September, with the carrier transporting 42,480 tonnes across its network.

ABC, the scheduled-freight arm of Russia-based Volga-Dnepr Group, also reported a 35 percent increase in September’s freight tonne kilometers, y-o-y. During the same month, ABC said it increased capacity in Europe, the United States and Asia from its established stations, while expanding service in Asia with new weekly flights to and from Singapore.

Overall, during the first nine months of 2015, ABC said it has achieved 18 percent growth in volume, carrying 344,130 tonnes across its network.

“In September, ABC moved from test to implementation status for C2K reporting and demonstrated DAP [delivered-as-promised] performance of 87 percent, which is among the top five industry scores,” said Denis Ilin, executive president of ABC. “AirBridgeCargo’s global team will definitely continue prioritizing ‘hard’ quality as well as demonstrating a ‘soft human-face’ attitude to our customers to keep this trend up.”
