Air Cargo India 2018 announces Hyderabad Menzies as Gold Partner for the biennial event

November 8, 2017: Hyderabad Menzies Air Cargo Private Limited (HMACPL), the operator of cargo facilities at GMR led Hyderabad International Airport, has announced its support as Gold Partner for AIR CARGO INDIA, the popular biennial global air cargo event being organised by The STAT Trade Times in 2018.

The 7th edition of AIR CARGO INDIA, the international biennial air cargo exhibition and networking conference will take place from 20 to 22 February 2018, at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai. This is being organised by The STAT Trade Times, the flagship publication from the global multimodal transport media specialist the STAT Media Group.

Hyderabad International Airport has recently received the Airport Council International (ACI) Airport Service Quality (ASQ) World # 1 Airport Award in the 5-15 million passengers per annum (MPPA) category for the year 2016. The airport has been featuring among the top 3 airports in the world in its category, since 2009. In addition to that, Hyderabad Airport is also the first airport in India to receive ACI’s ‘The Director General’s Roll of Excellence Award’ in 2014 for consistently earning the global top five ranking in its category in the ASQ survey.

The airport’s cargo terminal houses India’s first Pharma Zone that offers temperature-controlled Truck-Dock to airside environment. The airport also has India’s first and only airport based GMR International Free Trade Zone (GIFTZ) & Aerospace Park. With state-of-the-art value added facilities and services like the AFS (Air Freight Station) and RFS (Road Feeder Service) network providing multi-modal transport connectivity and the base for Envirotainer (temperature-controlled ULDs), GHIAL is well on its way to achieve its vision of becoming the Logistics Hub for India and South Asia Region.

HMACPL provides full scope of cargo handling services at Hyderabad Airport’s cargo terminal encompassing both physical handling as well as documentation services. Other services include build-up and breakdown of ULDs, general supervision, tracing and irregularity management, customs interface, etc.

AIR CARGO INDIA, one of the popular global trade show and conference for the air cargo industry in India, has already attracted huge participation for its next edition. The event is planned with the theme of ‘Indian Air Cargo: A revolution enhancing global trade’.

The modular integrated cargo facility at the GMR Hyderabad International Airport is spread over 14,330 sq.mt. The world class cargo terminal has a capacity to handle around 150,000 metric tonnes of cargo per annum and is a gateway to the whole of South Central India’s air cargo supply chain. The world-class Hyderabad airport with all-weather, Code-F (A380 compatible) runway and airside provides major advantages to cargo aircraft operators, and the capabilities of the robust airside infrastructure of the airport were underscored with the worlds’ largest cargo aircraft Antonov 225 choosing to land at Hyderabad Airport in 2016.
