WiseTech Global to acquire Australia-based BSM Global
Deal adds global trade management documentation and contract management capability to CargoWise.
WiseTech Global, the developer of logistics execution software CargoWise, has entered into an agreement to acquire BSM Global, the provider of global trade management (GTM) systems and solutions that connect companies with their trading partners globally.
Headquartered in Australia, BSM is being acquired from private shareholders, says an official release from WiseTech.
"Established in 2003 by Robert Flemming, BSM operates across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and the United States. BSM’s GTM solution allows exporters to plan and manage the contracts, financial and commercial arrangements with their trading partners and produce relevant international trade documents. It also allows supply chain managers to plan and execute their international transactions. Importantly, it removes manual processes and automates data transfer between supply chain managers, their logistics service providers, customers and some government or statutory bodies. These solutions integrate with the most common ERP systems used by exporters including SAP, Oracle and Microsoft Dynamics."
BSM’s functionality will become part of the WiseTech family of trade, transport and logistics products, the release added. "BSM’s customers will continue to access BSM’s solution and product support team. BSM will remain under the current leadership of Jason Flemming."
