Pathway, an AI data platform company, has appointed Anup Surendran as Head of Product Marketing and Growth as part of its U.S. expansion plans.

"Surendran will lead initiatives for positioning and growth as Pathway expands into the U.S. market while driving adoption of the Pathway framework in the developer community and among enterprises," says an official release.

Surendran brings a strong track record of product marketing, product management and growth to Pathway, having previously led QuestionPro from $3 million to $30 million in revenue. "Through pioneering product-led growth strategies, he rapidly and successfully scaled the team and transformed QuestionPro into a market leader for market research and customer experience," the release added.

He also previously played instrumental roles in the acquisitions of Camilion Solutions to SAP and of Resolver to Kroll. "Surendran has also advised high-growth startups across FinTech, InsurTech and EdTech on their growth strategy, a number of whom have now reached unicorn status. He also led a $500 million personalised loyalty programme for Canada’s largest retailer, Loblaw. He currently pays it forward by serving on the advisory committee for Texas A&M's marketing programme."

Zuzanna Stamirowska, CEO & Co-Founder, Pathway says: "Anup's proven ability to create products that underpin real customer needs and lead sustainable growth initiatives, through mixing product-led growth with enterprise sales, made him the standout choice to spearhead our expansion into the U.S. As we revolutionise the worlds of AI and data, his leadership will be instrumental."

Surendran adds: "For all the talk of the end-user applications and benefits of AI, many enterprises have been unable to seize its potential for operational use cases that hold the most potential to optimise processes and drive critical efficiences. Why? Because it wasn’t possible for these systems to learn in real time. In overcoming this challenge with its unified platform for all data pipelines - batch, streaming and Gen AI - Pathway is unlocking untold value to developers and enterprises. That’s why I am excited by the prospect of joining this stellar team and help it disrupt the AI and data landscape."
