DB Schenker, Ford team up for 42,000 sq.m. parts distribution centre
Facility to consolidate storage and distribution of parts and accessories into a single depot
DB Schenker, a global leader in logistics and transportation solutions, and Ford, one of the world’s leading automotive manufacturers, announced a collaboration with the ground-breaking ceremony of a 42,000 sq.m. parts distribution centre.
The ground-breaking ceremony was held at Dubai Logistics District, part of Dubai World Central (DWC), with operations scheduled to commence in January 2025, says a release from DB Schenker.
"Ako Djaf, Vice President, Contract Logistics and SCM, Middle East and Africa, DB Schenker and Ravi Ravichandran, President, Middle East, Ford were joined by senior executives from Dubai South Free Zone Authority and Atlantic Warehouse DWC during the ceremony."
Djaf says: "We are thrilled to embark on this ground-breaking venture with Ford, showcasing our commitment to innovation and excellence in the automotive supply chain.
