After a comprehensive RFP process, Qatar Airways Cargo has chosen three solutions from Wiremind's cargo management suite.

Qatar Airways Cargo will benefit from enhanced demand projections and optimized entry conditions using Wiremind's Revenue Management technology, allowing the airline to maximize its overall network contribution and income.

The air cargo carrier will also have access to the recently launched Overbooking module, which uses machine learning models to forecast cargo show-up rates on the day, assisting flight analysts in their decisions on the overbooking percentage for a specific flight in order to minimize capacity waste on the day of departure.

Qatar Airways' last solution is Wiremind's original flagship product, SkyPallet, which optimizes space estimates at multiple points in the cargo lifecycle to assure maximum capacity use and accurate quotes.

Nathanaël de Tarade, CEO of Wiremind says, “We are delighted that Qatar Airways Cargo has chosen individual solutions from our cargo product suite. It is testament to the fact that we were successful in addressing Qatar Airways Cargo’s needs and shows that with the support and vision of CargoTech, we are on the right track to build impactful products to help the industry digitise and adopt the latest technologies.

“With the world’s leading cargo airline now on board, we are more than proud, and we look forward to supporting Qatar Airways Cargo in shaping the air cargo industry of the future with all the opportunities that our advanced digital and data-driven machine-learning products can bring.”

Over the coming months, Wiremind and Qatar Airways Cargo will begin the implementation of the chosen solutions through workshops and training of over 300 users to further establish the airline’s digital vision and how its changing needs can be adapted and addressed within Wiremind’s flexible product suite.

“Digital processes and solutions play a fundamental role in taking Qatar Airways Cargo into The Next Generation,” says Guillaume Halleux, Chief Officer Cargo at Qatar Airways Cargo. “In Wiremind, we have found a partner that not only shares our pioneering vision of the industry but already demonstrates key deliverables as well as the agility to grow innovative ideas together. Our ambition is to deploy the most advanced cargo revenue management solutions in the market, making full use of the valuable market and customer data that passes through our systems to ensure efficient resource use and achieve more sustainable profitability. Wiremind’s unique machine-learning models offer highly promising results in this regard.”

Wiremind is constantly developing and expanding its cargo product suite and will be bringing more solutions to the market throughout 2023 and beyond, building up the platform’s inventory management capabilities and optimisation tools for the benefit of all airlines - small and large – seeking, like Qatar Airways Cargo, to adopt the latest technologies and practices.
