JALCARGO, Japan Airlines Company's (JAL) cargo business, and cargo.one announced an international partnership that would offer the airline's capacity to the largest global marketplace for digital air cargo reservations. JALCARGO has chosen cargo.one as its digital business and footprint partner.

Cargo.one became accessible to Japanese freight forwarders this month, providing them with a smooth digital booking experience as well as the opportunity to increase their efficiency and competitiveness. Cargo.one is the greatest solution for freight forwarders all around the world to book air cargo online.

Air cargo volumes into Japan are significant, with Tokyo's airports routinely ranking among the top air cargo hubs in terms of freight tonnes. JALCARGO, Japan's flag carrier, delivered over 740,000 tonnes of air cargo in 2021 and provides outstanding flexibility in its domestic network. There are hundreds of freight forwarders who use cargo. Within a few clicks, one will soon be able to search, book, edit, and track JALCARGO capacity in real time.

JALCARGO has partnered with cargo.one to expand its digital reach, based on its technological and commercial successes for many of the world's largest airlines, as well as its unique ability to give forwarders dependable and pleasurable digital booking experiences. Both organisations have a history of continual innovation and a strong dedication to meeting the requirements of their customers.

Hiroo Iwakoshi, Executive Officer, Cargo and Mail at Japan Airlines, comments, "Delivering an outstanding customer experience is an important element of our business strategy. cargo.one shares both our high regard for customer focus and service level, but also our ambition and entrepreneurial spirit to satisfy the market. With a presence on cargo.one, JALCARGO is now even more strongly placed to differentiate online and scale new heights of digital success".

To win digital sales throughout the world, airlines must put exposure of their greatest deals and customer centricity at the forefront of their strategy. By maximising offer quality and creating industry-leading digital buying journeys, cargo.one will empower JALCARGO teams to effectively capitalise on market demands.

"We are honored to have been chosen as the trusted partner of Japan's flag carrier, and look forward to working hand in hand with their teams to advance their digital strategy", says Moritz Claussen, Founder and Co-CEO of cargo.one. "The partnership will further strengthen our leading position in the Asia Pacific region and deliver a unique and high-quality digital offering to freight forwarders around the globe", he adds.

Cargo.one, the key digital gateway for Japanese air cargo capacity, professionally helps airlines such as JALCARGO to meet the broadest range of online consumer demands. The data analysis platform cargo.one360 will provide the airline with dynamic, unbiased, and compliant worldwide insights. Furthermore, cargo.one's Growth Managers will assist JALCARGO in improving its digital performance, identifying market prospects, and feeding learnings into revenue and capacity management.

The rollout of JALCARGO capacity on cargo.one begins this summer with European markets. The collaboration represents a step forward in freight. one's plan to significantly increase its presence in the Asia Pacific air freight sector by 2022.
