B&H Worldwide and Temasek Poly partner on aerospace student podcast
Temasek Polytechnic students teamed up with B&H Worldwide to produce 10-minute audio documentaries tackling complex aerospace logistics challenges.

Singapore-based aerospace logistics specialist B&H Worldwide has partnered with Temasek Polytechnic’s School of Business to offer media students an immersive, industry-focused educational project. The collaboration challenged Year 2 Communications & Media Management (CMM) undergraduates to translate the intricate world of global aviation supply chains into engaging, broadcast-quality audio content.
Over an intensive 12-week period, the students stepped outside standard classroom learning to address a genuine business-to-business media challenge. Designed jointly by lecturers from Temasek Polytechnic and B&H Worldwide’s global marketing division, the graded module required student teams to research specialised aviation logistics, identify compelling storytelling angles, interview international industry experts, and produce a fully polished 10-minute podcast documentary.
Throughout the assignment, B&H Worldwide provided students direct access to subject matter experts across its global operations. This direct mentorship enabled participants to gather primary research and gain first-hand insights into a niche, fast-paced sector with which few had previous familiarity. The student teams investigated several complex operational themes, delving into cross-border logistics and regulatory navigation to understand how critical aircraft components move across international boundaries under tight schedules. They also examined supply chain disruption and risk management, analysing real-world contingencies, emergency mitigation, and operational continuity during global crises. Furthermore, the podcasts captured human-centric logistics stories by highlighting the dedicated professionals working behind the scenes to maintain global fleet operations, while exploring the operational trade-offs required to balance extreme delivery speed with uncompromising safety and compliance standards.
Beyond audio production and narrative scripting, student teams were tasked with building complete promotional and distribution strategies for their finished podcast episodes. This required them to carefully evaluate target audience demographics, platform placement, and multi-channel content marketing strategies to ensure their audio documentaries reached relevant industry and public audiences.
Speaking on the initiative's success, Wei Koon Goh, Group Head of Marketing at B&H Worldwide, highlighted the impressive creative output from the cohort: "This collaboration gave students the opportunity to work with a genuine B2B challenge and an industry that many of them had never encountered before. Aerospace logistics can be complex, but the students showed that with curiosity, research and creativity, they could turn specialist knowledge into stories that people want to hear. For B&H, it was particularly rewarding to open our organisation to the students and allow them to learn directly from the people doing the work."
The project culminated in the B&H Worldwide x CMM Audio Production Podcast Awards, hosted to celebrate the cohort's hard work and creative achievements. The finale brought together students, academic staff, and B&H Worldwide executives for an interactive showcase of the top-performing podcast documentaries. The event featured a fireside panel conversation exploring storytelling techniques, creative strategy, and the evolving future of audio media production, before concluding with trophy presentations for the top three student productions.
Reflecting on the collaboration, Li Yann Long, Course Chair of Communications & Media Management at Temasek Polytechnic School of Business, emphasised the value of practical industry exposure:
"The students had to step into a sector that was unfamiliar to many of them, ask better questions, understand complex subject matter and then turn what they learned into a story worth listening to. Working with a real industry partner gave them an experience that is difficult to replicate in the classroom. The awards were a wonderful celebration, but the real achievement was the journey – seeing students stretch themselves, develop new skills and produce work they can take forward into their portfolios and future careers."
This initiative underscores the mutual benefits of industry-academic partnerships. By exposing emerging media talent to real-world corporate challenges, B&H Worldwide and Temasek Polytechnic have provided students with tangible additions to their professional portfolios while generating fresh perspectives on the vital aerospace logistics sector.
