TAT’s subsidiary Piedmont Aviation appoints new president in top-level rejig

December 29, 2017: TAT Technologies has recently made senior management changes in its subsidiary companies%u2014 Piedmont Aviation and Turbochrome.

TAT, a leading provider of products and services to the commercial and military aerospace and ground defense industries, has roped in Jeff Lambert as President of Piedmont Aviation, replacing Richard Reed who served the company since March 2016. 

Similarly, Michael Chen has been appointed President of Turbochrome, replacing Motty Katz, who served the company in various positions since October 2015. Both appointments are effective January 1, 2018.

Jeff brings to TAT Technologies extensive experience in OEM & MRO operations within the aerospace industry. Most recently, Jeff served as Vice President and General Manager at Rockwell Collins-Interiors Systems, overseeing the company's manufacturing in Mexico. Prior to that, he served as business unit director at B/E Aerospace, and was responsible for one of their operations in the Philippines. Prior to B/E Aerospace, Jeff held various management and engineering positions at UTC Aerospace Systems%u2014a subsidiary of United Technologies and Goodrich Corporation. 

Jeff holds a BS degree in Industrial Engineering from Colorado State University-Pueblo. Similarly, Chen has over 20 years of experience in the defense industry, managing large multidisciplinary global cross-functional teams of R&D, engineering, operations, marketing and business development. 

Before joining TAT Technologies, Chen was the CEO of Seraphim Optronics Ltd%u2014a provider of sophisticated electro-optic solutions for persistent surveillance. Prior to that, he held various positions at Electro Optics ELOP Industries, a subsidiary of ELBIT Systems and Atlantium Ltd. 

Chen holds a BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tel Aviv University and an MBA from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh.
