Dec 20, 2018: Aerospace and aviation specialist GA Telesis, together with its shareholders Tokyo Century Corporation and ANA Trading Corp, USA, a subsidiary of All Nippon Airways Trading Company (ANATC), have formed Gateway Engine Leasing, LLC (Gateway) to capitalise on the rising demand from airlines worldwide for long-term jet engine leases.

The official release states, “Initially headquartered out of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Gateway has plans to rapidly expand to Europe and Asia.”

It adds, “Gateway will commence operations with an initial seed portfolio consisting of V2500, CFM56-5B, and CF6-80E engines already on lease.”

In October, it was announced that Tokyo Century had substantially increased its shareholding in GA Telesis, and that ANATC had acquired a minority stake, by together acquiring the position previously held by shareholder Global Principal Finance Company.
