Silk Way West Airlines has entered into a strategic digital partnership with CargoAi, signing an agreement during Air Cargo China 2026 in Shanghai as part of its continued efforts to modernise and digitalise its cargo services.

The agreement was formalised by Wolfgang Meier, President of Silk Way West Airlines, and Matthieu Petot, Founder and CEO of CargoAi, highlighting the two companies' shared vision of advancing digital innovation and improving connectivity across the global air cargo sector.

As part of the collaboration, Silk Way West Airlines will integrate its cargo services with CargoAi's digital platform, allowing freight forwarders around the world easier access to the airline's dedicated widebody freighter network. The initial phase of the integration will offer greater rate transparency, while digital booking functionality will be introduced in a subsequent phase.

The partnership is expected to streamline the booking process by enabling freight forwarders to view available capacity and connect with Silk Way West Airlines' global network through a more efficient and transparent digital platform. It also supports the carrier's long-term strategy of enhancing customer experience and increasing the accessibility of its cargo services worldwide.

Based in Baku, Silk Way West Airlines operates a modern fleet of dedicated freighter aircraft connecting major markets across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas. The collaboration with CargoAi is expected to further strengthen the airline's digital distribution network and provide customers with more convenient access to its international cargo solutions.

“Partnering with CargoAi represents an important step in our digital transformation journey. By expanding our digital booking capabilities, we aim to offer freight forwarders greater visibility, faster access to capacity, and a more seamless experience when connecting with Silk Way West Airlines across our global network. This collaboration reflects our commitment to embracing innovative solutions that create additional value for our customers and support the continued development of the air cargo industry”, said Meier.

According to Petot, the partnership will give freight forwarders greater access to reliable cargo capacity through Silk Way West Airlines' extensive global network and dedicated widebody freighter fleet. It will also support the airline's efforts to make its cargo services more efficient, transparent, and digitally accessible for customers worldwide.

Digital booking capabilities for Silk Way West Airlines' services on the CargoAi platform are expected to be introduced at a later stage. Additional details will be announced through the official websites and social media channels of both Silk Way West Airlines and CargoAi.
