Global K9 (GK9), a leading U.S. provider of air cargo security solutions, has partnered with Het Twickelerveld Cargo Screening B.V., a Netherlands-based cargo screening company, to strengthen air cargo security across Europe.

Under the agreement, Het Twickelerveld will provide screening services in the Netherlands, combining its established market presence with GK9’s proven detection expertise. The partnership follows GK9’s acquisition of UK-based canine screening company Dog Detectives in late 2024, marking another step in its European expansion.

Eric Hare, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Global K9, said the collaboration aims to replicate the company’s successful U.S. operations in Europe. “By combining our proven detection services with Het Twickelerveld’s local expertise, this agreement is aimed at replicating our successful U.S. operations, providing enhanced security solutions across the region,” Hare said.

Het Twickelerveld, founded in 2005, specialises in canine training and handling for cargo security. Its Founder and CEO, Martin Lipsius, said the tie-up with GK9 would allow the Dutch company to enhance its services. “Partnering with a well-established screening company such as GK9 allows us to enhance our services in the air cargo sector, bringing mutual benefits to our clients,” he said.

The partnership will extend beyond canine screening to include X-ray, Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) and authorised representative services, offering tailored and compliant solutions to the air cargo industry across the Netherlands and Western Europe.
