UPS has completed the acquisition of Canada-based Andlauer Healthcare Group (AHG) for USD 1.6 billion, marking the successful close of a deal first announced in April 2025. The transaction strengthens UPS’s global position as a leading provider of complex healthcare logistics solutions at a time when demand for precision, reliability, and temperature control in healthcare supply chains continues to grow worldwide.

Under the terms of the acquisition, AHG shareholders will receive CAD 55($40) per share in cash, representing a total purchase price of about CAD 2.2 billion ($1.6 billion). The price reflects a premium of roughly 31% over AHG’s closing share price prior to the deal announcement. The completion follows the receipt of all required regulatory approvals.

Headquartered in Canada, AHG is known across North America for its specialised third-party logistics and cold chain transportation services designed for the healthcare industry. By integrating AHG’s operations and expertise, UPS aims to enhance its global cold chain capabilities, shorten delivery times, and offer better end-to-end visibility and quality assurance for customers managing temperature-sensitive therapies.

Kate Gutmann, Executive Vice President and President of International, Healthcare and Supply Chain Solutions at UPS, said the acquisition aligns with UPS’s mission to advance healthcare logistics worldwide. “At UPS Healthcare, we are relentlessly focused on quality, improving patient outcomes and advancing healthcare delivery, and we are thrilled that Andlauer Healthcare Group, and its talented employees, share that focus,” she said. “We will provide industry-leading services to our global customers, built on a foundation of quality, precision, and speed all designed to help manage high-value, temperature-sensitive treatments.”

Following the completion, Michael Andlauer, founder and CEO of AHG, will lead UPS Canada Healthcare and AHG. His leadership will help expand UPS’s specialised healthcare operations and drive continued innovation across its logistics network.

With this acquisition now finalised, UPS strengthens its healthcare logistics footprint in North America and extends its capability to serve pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotechnology customers around the world.
