Kuehne+Nagel has entered into a partnership with Chorusview, a spin-off of Alphabet’s X Moonshot Factory, to create what they describe as the most extensive smart label reader network in the world. The network now includes more than 100 million enabled devices. It supports Kuehne+Nagel’s Road Customer Visibility platform, which gathers smart label and sensor data and uses artificial intelligence to deliver shipment insights.

Chorusview has strengthened its existing reader network by adding popular third-party mobile applications to the WiFi access points, scanning devices and corporate mobile apps it already used. This expansion enhances item-level visibility for Kuehne+Nagel customers and encourages wider use of printable smart labels across supply chains.

Alireza Nemati, Global Head of Innovation for Road Logistics at Kuehne+Nagel, says the companies have made important progress towards a seamless global reader network that ensures steady data transmission across shipments. He notes that item-level visibility is changing logistics in sectors that rely on accurate ETAs and condition monitoring, helping improve resource planning, customer experience and business continuity. He adds that real-time tracking also reduces waste and loss in inventory management and returns logistics.

Chorusview CEO Suresh Vishnubhatla says the expansion marks a major step in the company’s effort to create more efficient and resilient supply chains. He says the milestone reflects the combination of Chorusview’s technology and Kuehne+Nagel’s logistics expertise and international reach, allowing the partners to scale smart label solutions and deliver value worldwide.
