Freightos has appointed Pablo Pinillos as Chief Executive Officer and a member of its Board of Directors, effective March 16, 2026.The announcement was made by Freightos, which operates a vendor-neutral digital pricing, booking and procurement platform for the international freight industry. Pinillos succeeds founder Zvi Schreiber and will lead the company’s next stage of global expansion. He has served as Chief Financial Officer since March 2025 and has been Interim CEO since January 2026. The company said he was selected after a search process that evaluated both internal and external candidates.

Udo Lange, Chairman of the Board, said the board is confident that Pinillos is the right leader to guide the company through its next phase of growth. He said that during his time as CFO and Interim CEO, Pinillos demonstrated a deep understanding of the business as well as the strategic and operational discipline needed to scale the company in a complex global market. Lange added that his experience in high-growth technology environments and leadership within Freightos gave the board unanimous confidence in his ability to lead the company and continue advancing its vision of digitalising global freight.

Pinillos said he was honoured to be appointed CEO and to join the Board of Directors. He said his focus will be on disciplined execution and delivering on near-term commitments, including reaching financial break-even in the fourth quarter of this year, while positioning the company for long-term growth. In the near term, he said the company will focus on expanding its solutions business, leading expansion into ocean freight and procurement management, deepening engagement with customers and converting that momentum into durable transaction growth across the platform. He added that Freightos has built a category-defining platform and that he looks forward to expanding its role across global freight.

With Pinillos’ appointment, the company has begun a search for a new Chief Financial Officer.

Pinillos brings more than 20 years of global leadership experience across finance, strategy and operations. Since joining Freightos as CFO in March 2025, he has played a key role in shaping the company’s financial strategy and operational discipline during a period of transition.

Before joining Freightos, he served as CFO of Coincover and CFO at Bitrise, where he led organisational transformations during periods of rapid growth. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly 14 years at Qlik, holding several senior leadership roles including Vice President of Strategic Growth and Business Transformation. During his time there, he supported the company’s Initial Public Offering and its subsequent acquisition by a private equity firm.
