ECS Group opens two GSSA offices in Lebanon
The Group has opened two offices in Lebanon, expanding its GSSA network to support airlines and freight forwarders across the Eastern Mediterranean.
ECS Group is expanding its presence in the Eastern Mediterranean with the launch of two new offices in Lebanon, effective July 1, 2026, as it strengthens its global general sales and service agent (GSSA) network.
The expansion includes one office at Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport (BEY) and another in downtown Beirut. The new branches are intended to support airlines and freight forwarders with commercial, operational, and compliance services while enhancing the company's regional footprint.
According to ECS Group, the Lebanon offices will serve both narrow-body and wide-body airline operators, providing carriers with the support needed to expand their networks across the Eastern Mediterranean. The company said customers will also benefit from its financial stability, digital capabilities and local market expertise.
The move reinforces ECS Group's strategy of growing its international GSSA network and strengthening its presence in key aviation markets, enabling airlines to access tailored cargo sales and operational support in the region.
Jean Ceccaldi, Chief Executive Officer of ECS Group, said, “Lebanon has long been on our expansion roadmap in its function as a key trade corridor between Europe and the Middle East, and discussions with existing and potential partners have consistently pointed to strong regional development prospects both currently and in the future.”
He added that Lebanon's air cargo market has so far lacked a structured GSSA organisation with strong digital capabilities. Through its new operations, the company aims to bring advanced digital solutions to the market while focusing on commercial efficiency, regulatory compliance and customer-centric services. He added that its investment reflects a long-term commitment to Beirut and is intended to support Lebanon's trade flows, strengthen economic resilience, and foster lasting partnerships with local and international stakeholders.
ECS Group's teams in Lebanon will provide cargo sales and booking management services for general cargo and perishables shipments across the region. Equipped with the company's CargoTech digital solutions, the teams will optimise cargo capacity utilisation, respond swiftly to changing market demand, and deliver reliable, fully compliant services to freight forwarders in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
