AIR ONE moves oversized gas turbine to Kazakhstan

Global aviation group AIR ONE has partnered with Dubai-based Proactive Logistic Solutions FZCO (PLS) to transport an oversized industrial gas turbine from the UK to Kazakhstan.

The shipment, measuring nearly 3 metres in height and weighing more than 8,400 kg, was transported from Aberdeen to Aktau via the UK’s East Midlands Airport.

AIR ONE arranged a Boeing 747-400F charter for PLS to support a leading global gas turbine maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) specialist. The freighter was operated by One Air, AIR ONE’s UK-based affiliate carrier, providing dedicated capacity for the specialised cargo.

Upon arrival at Aktau International Airport, PLS coordinated the final delivery of the gas turbine to its destination in Kazakhstan, with support from local partner Aviation & Forwarding Solutions (AFS).
