Virgin Atlantic Cargo has appointed Mark Faulkner as its new Head of Cargo Commercial. Mark began his cargo career 19 years ago at DHL Aviation before going on to Cargolux, BA, and IAG before peaking as Director West, Cargo Commercial at Etihad Cargo. Faulkner offers a plethora of knowledge to the airline from the aviation industry and the cargo business.

His experience ranges from revenue management to network and alliance management, and he has been instrumental in numerous important initiatives that have resulted in significant advantages and financial contributions. Faulkner’s new post will include responsibility for directing the cargo division's commercial activities, including revenue management, strategy and planning, business analytics, and network and partnerships.

Commenting on his new position, Faulkner said, “I am delighted to be joining Virgin Atlantic Cargo and am committed to building on the fantastic momentum the team has accomplished, as we continue to grow and achieve future success.

With a post Covid norm now established, I’m looking forward to using my skills and experience to assist the business in ensuring Virgin Atlantic Cargo is at the forefront of this new market, whilst we continue to put our customers and people first, showing our presence and character, and driving innovation by breaking the norms.”
