The 1992-founded ACMI, charter and cargo airline SmartLynx has entered into a long-term agreement to use Lufthansa Systems' mobile charting application – Lido mPilot. To improve operational efficiency, the Latvia-based airline has transitioned to Lufthansa Systems for its quality data and user-friendly interface.

"ACMI is very complex due to its constantly changing network, and it is crucial for the airline to have efficient tools to ensure smooth daily operations. In-flight operations, we do not settle with how we did business yesterday but are constantly looking for improvements, adding value to our business and functionality for the end users. Apps used in the flight deck must be intuitive and well-designed. With mPilot, we can access relevant, precise, and timely information, which is critical for our operations," said Lasse Bay Hansen, Group Director of Flight Operations at SmartLynx Airlines, in an official release.

Lido mPilot is a navigation solution designed to provide pilots with easy access to essential charts, operational documents, and messages directly on their devices. The solution integrates with airline workflows and presents relevant flight data based on aircraft location and flight plan, allowing pilots to focus on safe and efficient aircraft operations.

"With our latest version of Lido mPilot, SmartLynx will benefit from our advanced turbulence and icing forecasts directly on the en route map and vertical profile. We are very happy that SmartLynx, who is already relying on our data solution, Lido FMS, decided to take the next step in digital navigation with Lido mPilot," said Marco Cesa, Senior Vice President Regional Management EMEA at Lufthansa Systems.
