Qatar Airways Cargo launches first Helsinki freighter service
The carrier will launch a weekly Boeing 777 freighter service to Helsinki from 2 September 2026, adding 100 tonnes of weekly export capacity and strengthening Finland’s global cargo connectivity.

Qatar Airways Cargo will launch its first scheduled freighter service from Helsinki, Finland, starting 2 September 2026, strengthening cargo connectivity between Finland and global markets.
The weekly Boeing 777 freighter will operate on the Doha–Budapest–Helsinki–Doha route, offering 100 tonnes of export cargo capacity from Helsinki each week. Combined with Qatar Airways’ existing seven weekly passenger services, the new freighter will increase total weekly cargo capacity from Helsinki to more than 170 tonnes.
The service will provide Finnish and Nordic businesses with enhanced access to Qatar Airways Cargo’s global network through its Doha hub, connecting the region with markets across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, India, Asia and Australia.
Helsinki serves as a key gateway for high-value and specialised cargo, including high-tech products, electronics, industrial machinery and spare parts, pharmaceuticals, healthcare products, perishables and e-commerce shipments.
Qatar Airways Cargo will offer specialised solutions through its TechLift, Pharma, Fresh and Courier products, while Road Feeder Services will provide trucking connections across Scandinavia and the Baltic region.
Customers will be able to book shipments on the new freighter service through Qatar Airways Cargo’s Digital Lounge booking platform.
