Philippine Airlines (PAL), the national carrier airline of the Philippines has announced its entry into the digital booking market through a new partnership with cargo.one. This collaboration will allow PAL to reach thousands of freight forwarders globally, 24/7. By leveraging cargo.one’s platform, the airline aims to enhance its brand visibility, cut sales costs, and implement market-responsive digital pricing. Freight forwarders can look forward to improved cargo service options from PAL for shipments to and within the Philippines and the broader region, according to an official release from cargo.one.

Starting Autumn 2024, forwarders using cargo.one will be able to explore, quote, and book PAL’s capacity for general cargo and perishables. This new service will connect hubs in Manila, Cebu, Clark, and Davao with numerous key cargo destinations around the globe.

Gaining cargo.one’s technology and extensive experience means PAL can build digital sales at speed and scale with low capital expenditure. To support its ambitious cargo growth strategy, PAL is expanding its widebody fleet. The airline provides freight forwarders with access to 37 international destinations across South and East Asia, North America, Australia, and the Middle East, along with 32 destinations within the Philippines, ensuring strong regional connectivity, the release added.
