GlobalX starts cargo charter service between Chicago-San Juan

Global Crossing Airlines Group, known as GlobalX, a U.S. charter airline, has announced that starting October 10, 2024, it will operate round-trip cargo charter flights between Chicago (ORD) and San Juan (SJU) three times a week. This service will be exclusively available through the Airblox platform and will utilise Airbus A321 freighter, providing 25 tonnes of capacity in each direction on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, according to an official release from GlobalX.

GlobalX has entered into a new partnership with Airblox, a digital platform specialising in air freight capacity and financing.

The A321 freighter delivers 14% more containerised capacity than the B757-200, along with a 19% reduction in fuel consumption.
