China Cargo Airlines, a subsidiary of China Eastern, has launched its first dedicated cargo flight from Shanghai Pudong Airport (PVG) to Budapest Airport (BUD) using its Boeing 777F aircraft.

The thrice-weekly flights will be available every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday starting from July 30.

Last year, PVG was the world’s third largest cargo hub in terms of cargo turnover. The thrice-a-week scheduled connection thus creates a great transport opportunity for export and import flows for both SMEs and multinational companies in Hungary and the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region and further strengthens BUD’s position as a cargo hub in Central and Eastern Europe, mentions Budapest Airport in their LinkedIn post.

China Cargo Airlines recently signed a new block space agreement with Air France KLM Martinair Cargo. This agreement allows China Cargo Airlines to utilise Air France's belly capacity for shipments from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport to São Paulo Guarulhos Airport.
